As the Senior Officer, Paul is responsible for the administration of Wealth Management services throughout the Heartland organization. A graduate of Loras College, Marquette University School of Law and the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking, he joined our organization in 1975. He is past President of the Dubuque County Bar Association.

Bruce joined Dubuque Bank & Trust in 1983. Since that time, he has managed all tax-related functions of the department and oversees the administration of personal trusts, court-supervised trusts, and estates. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Law and also holds a degree in Accounting. Recognized for his extensive knowledge of both tax and estate planning issues, he is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences. He is a member of the Dubuque County Bar Association and the Tri-State Estate Planning Council. He also co-authored the Fiduciary Tax Manual published by the Iowa State Bar Association.

Polly has been with the WMG since 1994 and currently serves as a senior wealth advisor. Her duties include providing financial planning advice to high net worth Wealth Management clients and serving as wealth advisor for many non-profit clients. Polly also directs the marketing and sales functions for the Wealth Management Group. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Platteville, she has been in the financial services industry since 1980 and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 1984. She completed the American Banker’s Association Private Wealth Management School in 2005.

Andrew is the Chief Investment Officer for the Wealth Management Group of Heartland Financial USA, Inc., the parent of Dubuque Bank and Trust. He is responsible for determining investment policy and setting investment strategy for Wealth Management client portfolios. He also heads the market and economic research functions for the Wealth Management Group. Andrew received his BS and MBA degrees from the University of Tennessee – Martin and earned his designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst in 2002. He has over ten years of investment management experience and joined Heartland Financial in 2005.

Jane originally joined DB&T’s bookkeeping area in 1975 and transferred to Wealth Management Group in 1991. She oversees all aspects of operations, including securities transactions, statement preparation and production, and maintenance of the trust accounting system. She received her designation as Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP) as an Honor Graduate from the Trust School sponsored by Cannon Financial Institute at UNCC.

Tom joined the organization as an Investment Officer in 1999. As the head of Wealth Management Group’s equity portfolio management, his focus is on research related to stock selection and the implementation of other equity-related enhancements. Tom earned his Finance degree from Iowa State University in 1986 and his Accounting degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1991. Currently an inactive CPA, he worked in banking and public accounting following the attainment of his accounting degree. He served as a research associate with Dain Rauscher in South Dakota for the three years just prior to joining Heartland Financial.

Brian carries responsibility for the analysis and selection of financial stocks for Wealth Management Group portfolios and serves as product manager for mutual fund selection and retention. Brian brings over nine years of corporate finance and investment management experience to the Wealth Management Group. Over his career, he has held various positions with leading companies such as The Vanguard Group, Bowne & Co., and AST Trust Company. He received a BA in Economics from the University of Arizona, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Sarah serves as portfolio manager for most of our largest and most complex portfolios. She is also the functional manager for our trading and performance reporting systems and assists with the preparation of financial plans for our clients. She earned a degree in Business Finance from Loras College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Prior to joining Heartland in 2001, Sarah was employed at Firstar Bank (now known as US Bank). She earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2009.

Kate joined DB&T in 2006 as an assistant to the Wealth Management investment team. She is responsible for day-to-day administrative functions. In addition, her duties include coordination of the team’s analytical software packages and models, and compilation of data used by the investment team. Prior to joining the bank, Kate worked for TFM Co., in Dubuque.

As a senior wealth advisor, Rita provides guidance on fiduciary responsibility issues to associates of Dubuque Bank & Trust and Heartland Financial member banks. She divides her time between the administration of complex trusts and the highly specialized area of economically-targeted investments. She joined DB&T in 1972 and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Shawn joined our organization in 1994 as an Executive Assistant. In her current position as Wealth Advisor, she administers accounts both independently and as a co-advisor. She also continues to administer accounts within the Heartland Charitable Trust as she has since its inception in 1996. Shawn attended Joliet Junior College and the University of Northern Iowa. She is a Trust School graduate of Cannon Financial Institute and earned her Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation in 2007 from the Institute of Certified Bankers.

Ron became a part of the Wealth Management team in February 2009. As a Wealth Advisor, Ron will be working with various kinds of accounts. He has over 18 years of experience in consumer banking, insurance and retirement services. Most recently, Ron was employed at Prudential Financial as manager of a team in the disbursements and loans area. He is a graduate of Loras College where he earned a degree in Business Finance.

Raye Ann’s primary focus at Dubuque Bank & Trust is on the intricacies of estate administration and court-supervised trusts. She also administers personal trust accounts and is a crucial member of the tax preparation team. Prior to joining DB&T in 1990, she worked for five years as an assistant at a Dubuque law firm. In addition, Joanna is the Fiduciary Tax Coordinator for the Wealth Management Group. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Finance emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Joanna graduated with honors from Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School and received her designation as a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor in 2009 from the Institute of Certified Bankers.

Shirley joined DB&T’s Wealth Management Group as an administrative assistant-management in December 2007. She has spent 20 years as trial court technician with the Dubuque County Clerk of Courts Office and has a combined 35 years of experience in clerical and administrative support. Before joining the Wealth Management Group, she was an assistant to the vice president of development at Clark College, in Dubuque where she attended classes part-time, and is continuing to pursue a communications degree

Lois started with Dubuque Bank & Trust in 1999 and joined the Wealth Management Group in 2001 as the department receptionist and administrative assistant. Prior to joining the bank, Lois was co-owner of a lawn care business servicing Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Waterloo and Des Moines.

Randi joined the Wealth Management Group in April of 2009. Her primary responsibilities include providing support to the Personal Trust Advisors as well as assisting with the preparation of fiduciary tax returns. Randi is a graduate from the University of Iowa with a BA in Finance.

Brandie is responsible for helping to ensure that the Wealth Management Group gets the full benefit of the systems used, as well as creating greater efficiencies for all peers through utilization of all IT means available. She received her BA degree in Marketing Management from Bellevue University in August 2006. She also is a graduate from Northeast Iowa Community College with two Associate’s Degrees in Network Administration and Microcomputer Specialist.

A Loras College graduate with 10 years prior financial experience, Mary joined Wealth Management Operations in 1993 as Operations Assistant Manager. Mary is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily financial processing and balancing of the department. She is also plays a key role as our point person for account transfers.

Linda joined the Wealth Management Group Operations division in 1999. Her primary responsibilities are disbursement of funds from client’s accounts as well as assisting fellow team members with investments, receipts and transfers. Linda is a graduate of the School of Banking held at the University of Wisconsin and also the National Graduate Trust School held at Northwestern University.

Renee’s primary focus is to cover all aspects of mutual fund trading for Heartland’s Wealth Management Group. She joined Heartland in 2002, after working in the business and financial fields since 1982. Renee is a graduate of Northeast Iowa Community College with a Business Specialist Associates Degree.

Sue joined the Wealth Management Group in March 2006. She began with Heartland Financial USA, Inc as the Stockholder Services Coordinator in 1999, bringing with her 11 years of experience in the stock transfer field. Sue’s primary responsibilities include the handling of Heartland Financial USA, Inc. common stock and the management of all stockholder related business.

Jennifer joined the Wealth Management Group in March 2007. She has worked in the financial field since 2001. She has received an Accounting Clerk Degree from Northeast Iowa Community College. Her primary responsibilities are depositing funds to client’s accounts and scanning daily work.

Derek joined our organization in November of 2005. His primary responsibilities are developing the marketing, advertising, and promotional materials for Heartland Financial USA, Inc. member banks that offer Wealth Management Group services. Derek earned his bachelor’s degree in 2002 from Western Illinois University, majoring in Graphic Communications.
